Tub Bath

Vondell & Dale Savage

I am blessed with a jetted tub, however oils work just as well with a soaking tub. You may know there are not many natural products recommended for jetted tubs. I have used essential oils in my bath for nearly 3 years now. Before I discovered Young Living Oils, essential oils in the bath , especially tea tree, would sometimes burn my skin leaving welts. So far Young Living Oils have not burned me or hurt my tubs.

I use eucalyptus for general health, antiseptic and sinus opening, chamomile for relaxation and hair care, lemon for opening lymph and skin and hair lightening, I use cypress for vein health. Rosemary is a great all purpose oil. Myrtle is good for pneumonia. If I suspect any type of yeast or fungal infection I use Tea Tree. The bath infuses the house with the fumes, treats everyone present and helps disinfect the house. I then leave the water in the tub overnight to get all of the aromatherapy from the water into the house.

The best ways I know to add the oils to the tub is either to drop a few drops of each under the running water, or on a wet sponge or rag. Submerge and squeeze the rag or sponge in the tub water several times. Then use the the sponge or rag to sniff and wash throughout the bath. Soak and relax.

Hope, Harmony, Tranquil, Peace and Calming for Stress Relief

Tammy Baile

Instead of grabbing a prescription, or over the counter product to combat a strssful day with resulting headache, I now grab Young Living essential oils.

I use Peace and Calming, along with Release and Tranquil, on a daily basis to combat the stressful events of the day. Depending on just how stressful, or how bad the stress headache is, I also apply Young Living Essential Oils Harmony and Hope as well.

Massage for Sensitive People

Vondell & Dale Savage

Some sensitive people with autoimmune disease cannot tolerate conventional massage. That doesn't mean the massage oils aren't for you. I have found pain relief by gently rubbing Young Living Essential oils and massage oils on painful areas. The GENTLE rubbing enhances the action of the oils. Just don't dig into knots or sore areas. Rub to your own tolerance. This may be something you cannot let others do for you, as they don't feel your pain tolerance.

Black Pepper Oil for Extreme Anxiety

Vondell & Dale Savage

Those times, I have them, when you think you can't take it anymore. Life is over and you are falling into the universe, rub Young Living Black Pepper Oil behind your ears. If you are collapsed on the floor in the fetal position in terror, this will help.

Regenolone for pain and skin reactions

Vondell & Dale Savage

My arms break out in an autoimmune or allergic reaction if I am exposed to dust, mice, cardboard boxes, and other alergens. I also got a rash on my elbow. My arms muscles are often sore. Regenolone is a quick fix and always within reach.

Releasing Emotional Patterns With Essential Oils

Vondell & Dale Savage

This book by Carolyn L. Mein, D.C. is a work of genious. It has been my first reference for using Young Essential Oils knowing my painful alarm points. I didn't even pay attention to the emotional part of the book for the first year. Applying the oils to the alarm points relieved my pain and that is all I cared about. You can not buy this book from Young Living. I bought mine from www.abundanthealth4u.com

Release

Shayla Pollert

I love Young Living's blend, Release, to help me let go of situations and negative memories that the mind has a tendency to "recycle". It really helps make a difference!

Relaxing Massage

Shayla Pollert

From the oldest to the youngest in our family, we love aromatherapy massages! Even the toddler in the family is known to stick her feet in our face and request "rub" and it isn't unusual for her to fall asleep in the process! Lavender appears to be the young one's favorite, while Ortho Sport and Deep Relief for aching muscles has the grown-up's vote!

Stess Away Roll-On

Evelyn Vincent

This is the best essential oil blend I have found for getting rid of stress. Stress Away is in an easy to use roll-on, great size for purse or pocket. Roll on to pressure points, back of the neck, or on wrists to wear as a perfume - it smells incredible!

3 Wise Men & Copaiba Oils

Rub a couple drops of both 3 Wise men and Copaiba essential oil on your face every night to help regenerate and smooth wrinkles (do not get in eyes).

Soft, Smooth Skin

Jonell Elder

My favorite Young Living creams are Boswellia Wrinkle Cream and Wolfberry Eye Cream. The Wolfberry Eye Cream has made a dramatic difference in the puffiness and dark circle under my eyes. And Boswellia Wrinkle Cream seems to soften my fine lines and my skin feels so soft.

Massage Away Stress

Jonell Elder

One great way to have stress reduction is massage with a stress reducing essential oil, like lavender or even Young Livings essential oil blend of Peace & Calming. I take these to my masseuse when I get a massage and I feel so relaxed after.

You can apply the oils to the soles of your feet and finish by breathing in the aroma that is left over on your hands. This may help to reduce stress too.

Massage Away Stress

Jonell Elder

Easily massage away stress with Peace and Calming by applying to the soles of your feet and massaging. Or bring your Peace and Calming or Lavender to your masseuse and have them massage you with the oil of your choice

Essential Oil Salt Scrub

Shayla Pollert

1 cup sea salt

1 1/2 cups light olive oil, almond oil, or jojoba oil

10-20 drops Therapeutic Grade Essential oils- I like Sensation, Gentle Baby, Lavender, or combination's of grapefruit and eucalyptus dives, bergamot and coriander, or ylang ylang and myrrh or frankincense.

Mix all ingredients together in a wide mouthed jar (or one you can easily slip your hand into). Use when hands are really dry, or on rough areas. I like to use it between shaving my legs to help keep ingrown hairs away. This does wonders for eliminating dry skin through exfoliation and adding moisture through the oil.

Anti-Aging Cream

Shayla Pollert

2 1/2 ounces of beeswax

2/3 cup almond or avocado oil

3/4 cup aloe vera gel or juice

approximately 1 to 2 teaspoons Young Livings Gentle Baby Blend

1 teaspoon Frankincense oil

Blender, or electric hand mixer, (a hand mixer with the whisk attachment works best)

In a heavy, medium sized glass pan slowly melt the beeswax. Stir frequently to assure it doesn't burn. Also, heat the almond oil over low heat. Once the beeswax is melted stir in the oil. Set aside, and heat the aloe vera on low heat in a separate pan (you can use the same pan you heated the oil with). Once warm, use an electric whisker to whisk the aloe vera in with the beeswax/oil. The cream will begin to turn yellowish white. As it cools over the course of an hour or more, come back and whisk it again every now and then. This will help keep the ingredients from separating. Only after it has cooled can you add the essential oils, otherwise if you put them in too soon the heat will kill the therapeutic quality of the oil.

Relaxing Massage

Jennifer McBride

Mix Peace & Calming oil with massage oil for a relaxing massage.

How I Remove Stress

Evelyn Vincent

This is my favorite way to reduce stress... I use Young Living's "Stress Away Roll-On" - it's an essential oil blend that smells absolutely AMAZING! The scents in this blend that strike me are Vanilla, Copaiba, and Lime. I've been wearing it as a perfume and rolling some on my neck and shoulders before going to bed. This blend is really aroma-therapy at its best.

Body Butter Recipe

Evelyn Vincent

This recipe contains ingredients that are good for dry skin. Easy and inexpensive to make, Body Bars are a convenient choice and make nice gifts. The Body Butter will soften when in contact with your body and smooth onto skin nicely.

2 oz. Cocoa Butter

2 oz. Beeswax pastilles

3 oz. Sweet almond oil

15-20 drops Young Living Essential Oil (see suggestions below)

Nice Singles: Sandalwood, Chamomile, Peppermint, Geranium, Lavender,Wintergreen.

Nice Blends:Gentle Baby, Abundance, PanAway, Peace & Calming, Melrose, Dragon Time.

Combine the cocoa butter and beeswax in a small glass or stainless steel sauce pan. Heat slowly on a medium-low temperature (you just want the Cocoa butter and Beeswax to melt).

Once the mixture is fully melted, stir in the sweet almond oil, mixing until completely combined.

Allow the mixture to cool for 1 to 2 minutes, then add essential oil. Stir until completely combined. Immediately pour the mixture into your desired packaging (lip balm tubes are recommended options). Another dispenser option is to save paper towel or toilet tissue cardboard tubes, you will have to tape a bottom on the empty rolls, but to use you will simply peel back some cardboard around the sides to reveal the balm.

These bars are great for personal use or as gifts.

A Better Shave

Curt Siters

I dislike using shaving creams and gels because they are so messy and wasteful. When Young Living came out with their line of bar soaps I thought why not give them a try for shaving. I was surprised at how well it worked and how close my shave was. Clean up is as simple as a quick rinse of the hands.

Trauma's in Life helped with essential oil

Jonell Elder

My daughter recently went through some rough times in her marriage. She was suffering from an emotional breakdown because of the emotional pain she was feeling. She felt like she could not control her anxiety.

I gave her one of Young Livings blends of Trauma Life and explained that whenever she began to feel a "panic attack" coming on to rub a few drops of the oil onto her ears on the outside center edge of her ear, which is the "overwhelmed" acupressure point of the ear.

Another thing to do is to diffuse the oil or to put a drop or to on a cotton ball and put it in the vent of your car, to have the scent with you while driving.

I suggested the blend of Peace & Calming to apply to her wrist and edge of ears, and inhale. Also do the same as above for "diffusing".

Grounding essential oil apply behind ears, on wrists, base of neck, temples, or base of spine. Also do the same as above for "diffusing".

Releasing Past Emotions

Jonell Elder

I practice essential oil therapies and one very healing therapy is emotional release therapy. There are several oils I use during this therapy and I apply them to different areas of the body. While I am applying the essential oils to my client I have White Angelica diffusing in the room.

Quite often the most profound change I see in my clients is when I apply our Release blend over their liver. I often see a very noticeable relaxation of their body and in their facial muscles.

During the session there is such a release of hidden emotions that my clients often have not thought of for many years. It is quite a surprise to them when the feelings come out and the thankful and calmness that surrounds them.

I would highly recommend this therapy for anyone with any kind of stress of loss in their lives.
